A Design Engineer with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering — bringing professional precision to the maker community, one free model at a time.
About MakerX Designs
Every model is a real engineering project — from SolidWorks source to finished print, each design undergoes a strict development cycle before it's published.
Everything here is built for people who actually print. MakerX Designs publishes free, ready-to-print 3D models alongside the verified PLA and PETG slicer profiles used to make them — so you can download a part, load the matching settings, and get a clean print without the usual trial-and-error. Each design starts as a real SolidWorks model and is dialed in on desktop FDM hardware before it ever goes public.
Beyond the models, the site is a growing toolkit for the entire 3D printing workflow: browser-based utilities for filament cost, tolerance and fit, infill visualization, STL inspection, and post-processing, plus a curated set of resource links and a live feed of 3D printing articles. No installs, no sign-ups, and no paywalls — just practical tools and tested designs, free for the maker community.
📋 A Note on Sharing
I'm thrilled when people use and share my designs. I simply ask that you respect the community licensing rules and provide the required credit so I can keep contributing to our collective workshop.
