Fidget 10-Point Star

A fidget toy that keeps your hands busy at your desk. It sits flat as a ten-point star, and every way you move the stem gives it a different look — twist it and the 28 rings sweep around into a pinwheel with the points fanning out, push and pull it side to side, or lift it and they drop into a cone. The stem is textured for a tactile feel, and lowering it back to the desk makes a satisfying sound.

Every Move Gives It A New Look

28 nested rings hang from one textured stem, so whatever your fingers do, the rings follow — and it all comes off the plate as one print.

Twist It Into A Pinwheel
Leave it flat on the desk and twist the stem: the 28 rings sweep around into a pinwheel and the ten points fan out into mesmerizing designs. Ten points make this the most legible twist in the whole set. Push and pull the stem from side to side and the rings shift off-center for a whole different set of visuals.

Lift It Into A Cone
Raise it by the stem and the 28 rings drop into a cone. Lower it back to the desk and it makes a satisfying sound as the rings come back down. The stem is textured, so it has a tactile feel under your fingers.

The Most Rings In The Set
28 rings packed across 169.6 mm, with the same gap at every height and every one of them turning freely right out to the rim. All 28 and the stem come off the plate already captured inside each other — nothing to glue or snap together.

Slice It Right

These are the settings the 10-point star in the photos was printed with, on a Creality Hi 2 with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The 3MF carries the full profile — open it in Creality Print or any slicer that reads 3MF projects and it is ready to go.

One color, no swaps. A single spool, no filament changes, no purge and no prime tower: 3 h 56 m and 110.63 g for the whole plate, the longest print in the shape set.

It prints flat, just as it rests, 169.6 x 161.3 mm and 39.0 mm tall with the stem, with no supports and no brim. It needs a 180 mm bed.
