Fidget Ghost

A fidget toy that keeps your hands busy at your desk. It sits flat as a friendly ghost, and every way you move the stem gives it a different look — twist it for new designs, push and pull it side to side, or raise it with a slight twist and the 22 rings drop into a cone-like shape. The stem is textured for a tactile feel, and lowering it back to the desk makes a satisfying sound.

Every Move Gives It A New Look

Twenty-two nested rings hang from one textured stem, so whatever your fingers do, the rings follow — and it all comes off the plate as one print.

Twist And Slide
Leave it flat on the desk and twist the stem: the rings shift against each other into new designs. Push and pull the stem from side to side and the rings move around to their stops for a whole different set of visuals.

Lift It Up
The stem sits up where the nose would be, so raise it with a slight twist and the 22 rings settle into a cone-like shape. Lower it back to the desk and it makes a satisfying sound as the rings come back down. The stem is textured, so it has a tactile feel under your fingers.

Prints In Place
All 22 rings and the stem come off the plate already captured inside each other — nothing to glue or snap together. An even gap of about 1 mm between every ring keeps the ghost shape intact, so the rings slide and drop without coming apart.

Slice It Right

These are the settings the ghost in the photos was printed with, on a Creality Hi 1 with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The 3MF carries the full profile — open it in Creality Print or any slicer that reads 3MF projects and it is ready to go.

Two colors, two filament changes. A white body with the two eyes printed in black, one layer deep: 3 h 55 m and 104.86 g for the whole plate, and only 2.84 g of that is purge and prime tower. Leave room beside the ghost for the tower. Print it in one color and the eyes still read as recesses.

It prints flat, just as it rests, 148.2 × 179.1 mm across and 39.0 mm tall with the stem, with no supports and no brim.
