Fidget Hexagon

A fidget toy that keeps your hands busy at your desk. It sits flat as a six-sided plate, and every way you move the stem gives it a different look — twist it and the 24 rings sweep around into a pinwheel, push and pull it side to side, or lift it and they step down into a pyramid. The stem is textured for a tactile feel, and lowering it back to the desk makes a satisfying sound.

Every Move Gives It A New Look

24 nested rings hang from one textured stem, so whatever your fingers do, the rings follow — and it all comes off the plate as one print.

Twist It Into A Pinwheel
Leave it flat on the desk and twist the stem: the 24 rings sweep around into a pinwheel, every ring turning until its corners meet the ring outside it. Push and pull the stem from side to side and the rings shift off-center for a whole different set of visuals.

Lift It Into A Pyramid
Raise it by the stem and the 24 rings step down into a six-sided pyramid. Lower it back to the desk and it makes a satisfying sound as the rings come back down. The stem is textured, so it has a tactile feel under your fingers.

Gaps Tuned Ring By Ring
The gap between rings widens from about 0.9 mm at the stem to about 1.5 mm at the rim, so the outer rings keep turning freely instead of binding up. All 24 rings and the stem come off the plate already captured inside each other.

Slice It Right

These are the settings the hexagon in the photos was printed with, on a Creality Hi 2 with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The 3MF carries the full profile — open it in Creality Print or any slicer that reads 3MF projects and it is ready to go.
