Fidget Snowflake

A fidget toy that keeps your hands busy at your desk. It sits flat as a twelve-point snowflake, and every way you move the stem gives it a different look — twist it and the stripes shift into mesmerizing designs, push and pull it side to side, or lift it and the 13 rings drop into a pointed cone. The stem is textured for a tactile feel, and lowering it back to the desk makes a satisfying sound.

Every Move Gives It A New Look

Thirteen nested rings hang from one textured stem, so whatever your fingers do, the rings follow — and it all comes off the plate as one print.

Twist And Slide
Leave it flat on the desk and twist the stem: each ring turns until it stops against the point of its neighbor, and the stripes shift into mesmerizing designs. Push and pull the stem from side to side and the rings shift off-center for a whole different set of visuals.

Lift It Into A Cone
Raise it by the stem and the 13 rings drop into a pointed cone. Lower it back to the desk and it makes a satisfying sound as the rings come back down. The stem is textured, so it has a tactile feel under your fingers.

Prints In Place
All 13 rings and the stem come off the plate already captured inside each other — nothing to glue or snap together. The points are straight-sided and every ring sits the same distance from the next, all the way out, so each one turns freely until its points meet.

Slice It Right

These are the settings the snowflake in the photos was printed with, on a Creality Hi 1 with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The 3MF carries the full profile — open it in Creality Print or any slicer that reads 3MF projects and it is ready to go.

Two colors, two filament changes. White rings with a blue stripe on each: 3 h 2 m and 78.68 g for the whole plate, and only 3.87 g of that is purge and prime tower. Leave room beside the snowflake for the tower.

It prints flat, just as it rests, 178.9 mm point to point and 39.0 mm tall with the stem, with no supports and no brim.
