Louvered Vent Cover

Cut a hole saw opening into a cabinet, door, or wall for airflow and you are left with a raw hole staring back at you — functional, but not finished. This covers it cleanly and still lets the air through. One flat 175 mm square panel, 4 mm thick, in two versions: with pre-placed screw holes, or plain for adhesive or a friction fit. Prints flat with no supports.

The black louvered panel screwed over a cut opening in a dark wood cabinet panel, its angled slats running edge to edge

Slice It Right

The panel prints face down as one flat piece, so nothing overhangs and no supports are generated — the louver angle is built to be self-supporting at this orientation. A 5 mm outer brim keeps the thin border flat on the plate over a two and three quarter hour print. PLA is fine indoors; PETG is the better choice if the vent will see sun or heat.

Two Versions, Your Choice of Mount

The screw-hole version has a countersunk hole in each corner, so a flat-head screw sits level with the face rather than standing proud of it. The plain version has an unbroken face for adhesive, a friction fit into the opening, or any mounting method of your own — it is the same panel in every other respect, identical in size and thickness.

The panel is 175 mm square and covers an opening comfortably smaller than that, so measure your hole before you print. It was built to vent a desk fan tucked inside a cabinet — paired with the vertical laptop stand to keep the laptop hidden and cool — but it works over any cut hole in a wall, floor, cabinet, or piece of equipment.
