Filament Storage In-Stack Labels

A top label names the column. A side label names the tray. Neither helps when one column holds two materials — and it usually does, because a column takes six spools and almost nobody has six of the same thing. This arch sits in the stack at the boundary and marks it. No adhesive, no clips, nothing to break when you rotate stock.

Five Legends, One Project

Every plate is the same part with different lettering, so they all print the same way. The name is what the label says — all five plates are sliced for PLA, so print them in whatever you like. Times and weights are read off the slicer, not estimated.

Slice It Right

These are the settings the reference prints were made with. The 3MF carries the full profile — open it in Creality Print or any slicer that reads 3MF projects and it is ready to go. The four lettered plates are set up for two filaments, so printing them in two colors needs a CFS, an AMS or another multi-material unit; the blank plate is a single filament and needs none of that. Starting from an STL instead? An STL carries no color — select the part and use Paint in your slicer, or it slices in a single color, which is why the text can look like it disappeared.

This one is not printed face down. If you have printed the side, top or insert labels, ignore that habit here — those go lettered-face-down for purge economy, and this one stands the way the 3MF has it, which is the orientation that was tested.

A lettered plate slices at about 200 g, but only 121.92 g of that is the label — the rest is purge and wipe tower across ninety filament changes. That is the whole reason the blank plate exists: it is the same object in one filament at 121.99 g.
